INDIA SERIES

My Dear Collector, 

India Series is a series of paintings that I created during the pandemic - when my brushstrokes became more motivating than ever before.  

I was fortunate to attend a wedding in India in my early 20s and with my limited knowledge about the culture, I was expecting an extravagant event. But this one was different. It was simple. Just enough flair without being too overbearing or distracting from what's happening on stage; which is exactly how you want your special day showcased! And for me, I found it more magical, more meaningful. 

 In this painting, you will see touches of subtle gold mixed with various colors hidden in between layers. But inside me it’s a love story combined with humility, sacrifice, hard work, perseverance and the value of placing people's comfort first before your own.  

 In each of my painting, you will see that I finished it with a splishy splash paint. This is a reminder to me that nobody is perfect and those little imperfections make me whole.
